after seeing birkenstocks featured on Man Repeller and Garance Dore i think its safe to say that my trusty arch-supporting camp sandals are trendy?! the vermonter in me is proud and a little confused. i bought my birks during my freshmen year when i was heavily under the influence of vermonty-ness. i have since come out of my freshmen year crunchy granola haze, but can't give up on my birkenstocks. so the trendy side of me is very glad that these are now acceptable footwear outside of burlington.
