H&M just released a more sustainable fashion line called 'H&M Conscious'. As an environmental studies student, I think the idea of sustainable fashion is interesting, but kind of couter-intuitive, since the fashion industry relies on consumerism and is inherently unsustainable. Regardless, I think anything that companies are trying to do to do their part is good by me! I was REALLY surprised that they are the #1 user of organic cotton worldwide, definitely not something I would expect. I also think its great that this line is still affordable and in line with the price points of their other clothes, as I think that one of the biggest issues with 'green' products is that they aren't accessible to a lot of people due to their high prices. As an added plus, the line is really really cute! Now if only they would ship inside the US...
